MATT 201 - Machine Tool Applications 5 Credit Hours
This course provides students with supervised, structured internship experience withing a machine shop or manufacturing facility. Students will apply foundational machining knowledge gained from MATT 101 and MATT 103 to real-world production processes. Emphasis is placed on applying safety procedures, understanding shop workflow, maintaining tolerance, communicating with supervisors, and participating as part of a production team. Students will document their work experience, reflect on technical and soft-skill development, and demonstrate measurable progress toward industry readiness.
Pre-requisite/Co-requisite(s): MATT 101, & MATT 103
