LAST 295 - Legal Assisting Capstone

3 Credit Hours

LAST 295 is the culminating experience for students in the Associate of Applied Science in Legal Assisting. The course synthesizes program learning through a Westlaw Research Review & Proficiency Assessment, advanced legal writing and document drafting, professional ethics application, and a supervised internship (90-120 hours recommended) with a law office, court, government agency, legal aid organization, or corporate legal department. Students produce a professional portfolio, reflective analyses, and a capstone presentation demonstrating readiness for employment or continued education in criminal justice, paralegal studies, or related fields.
