COSM 120 - Skin Analysis and Cosmetics

3 Credit Hours

This course introduces the fundamental concepts and techniques of professional skin care, hair removal, and makeup application, based on Milady Standard Cosmetology, 14th Edition. Students will gain hands-on experience in analyzing skin types and conditions, performing facial treatments, providing temporary hair removal services, and applying cosmetic products safely and effectively. Emphasis is placed on client consultation, sanitation and infection control, product knowledge, proper tool use, and the development of professional skills required for success in the cosmetology industry.
