COSM 107 - Introduction to Nail Care 3 Credit Hours
Introduces the fundamental theory, procedures, and practical skills of professional nail care as presented in Milady Standard Cosmetology, 14th Edition. This course prepares students with the knowledge and techniques necessary for manicuring, pedicuring, and basic artificial nail services in accordance with industry standards and state board requirements. Students will explore infection control, client consultation, anatomy of the hands and feet, and the tools, products, and procedures required to perform safe, effective nail services. Emphasis is placed on developing professional habits, proper sanitation, ergonomics, and customer service skills.
Pre-requisite/Co-requisite(s): COSM 101 .
