FINA 101 - Introduction to Visual Arts 3 Credit Hours
This is an introductory course open to all students that provides a study of the elements of art and principles of design, encompassing drawing, painting, printmaking, camera and computer arts, design, sculpture, architecture, and mixed media. Emphasis will be placed on vocabulary, technical aspects of each medium, development of styles, principles of aesthetics, and concepts of art. Students will become acquainted to western and non-western art movements and how these movements influence contemporary art making and theory. A grade of C or better is required for credit for art majors.
