HVAC 106 - Gas Heating Systems

3 Credit Hours

This course includes a discussion on types of gas furnaces, gas fuels, combustion, components in a gas furnace, safety devices, gas valves, venting, piping, and calculating the proper airflow across the heat exchangers. This course introduces several wiring diagrams and troubleshooting procedures, high-efficiency furnaces, and preventative maintenance, and covers several typical service technician service calls.
