LPNU 128 - PN: Practice, Issues and Trends I

1 Credit Hours

This course introduces the QSEN (Quality and Safety Education for Nurses competencies to the students by centering content on Josie’s Story: A Patient Safety Curriculum. KSA’s (Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes) necessary to continuously improve the quality and safety of the healthcare systems in which nurses work will be discussed. Students will examine the complexity of nursing work and reflect how QSEN competencies can be applied to any clinical situation to provide quality, safe nursing care.

Pre-requisite(s): Successful completion of all first semester courses.
Co-requisite(s): LPNU 120 ; LPNU 122 ; LPNU 124 ; LPNU 127 .
