MATH 104E - Math for Industrial Trades Extended 4 Credit Hours
This course is designed for students entering one of the Industrial trades (welding, pipefitting or machine tool technology) who did not meet the minimal requirements for MATH 104 . Topics covered will include but not be limited to fractions, decimals, percentages, ratios, proportions, basic algebraic concepts, basic plane geometry, right triangle trigonometry, measurement, measuring devises and conversions. Other Topics may be covered as needed for specific technical classes. MATH 104 does not substitute for any other math course and is used only for specific technical certificate or associate degree programs.
Pre-requisite/Co-requisite(s): SAT Score less than 460, ACT MATH of less than 19, COMPASS Algebra Math Score less than 36. Students will attend MATH 104 then attend an additional hour after each class for supplemental instruction and help.
