MLTN 245 - Capstone & Seminar

2 Credit Hours

American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) national board certification application and state training licensure application and preparation for the national board examination including mock examinations. Capstone projects assigned which includes case study development and presentation, interview and resume writing workshops, portfolio development and review for examination. Review of laboratory journals and class discussion is also part of the curriculum. Educational theory including the domains of learning and taxonomy levels will be discussed. This course is intended to prepare the students for successfully passing the national certification exam and preparation for employment as a Medical Laboratory Technician.

Pre-requisite(s): Admission to Medical Laboratory Technician program.
