SOCS 280 - Field Experience
2 Credit Hours
This is a capstone course that provides students with the opportunity to observe social work field practice in an approved agency selected by the Social Services Instructor based on student’s strengths, interests, and knowledge. This course is designed to assist students in exploring and observing the dynamics of actual practice while utilizing classroom knowledge. Students will be required to complete 30 field observation hours as well as to participate in class meetings to engage in activities such as discussion of observation experiences, role-playing, independent/team projects, and oral presentations. Note: Must pass the course with a C.
Pre-requisite(s): Consent of instructor; course must be completed during the final semester of the program.
