The Associate in Technical Studies with a concentration in Emergency Management is designed for individuals seeking careers in emergency preparedness, disaster response, and public safety. This program equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary to manage and coordinate emergency operations in a variety of settings, including government agencies, healthcare facilities, and private organizations. Students will gain expertise in risk assessment, incident command systems, crisis communication, and recovery planning. The curriculum emphasizes practical application, leadership, and decision-making in high-pressure environments.

Fourth Semester


Students may receive up to 15 credit hours for prior emergency services training. Industry-recognized certifications and licensures will be evaluated for credit. If not available, students may take additional electives in BUSN, ECON, MGMT, MRKT, AIBU or in their technical field to reach the 15 credit hours needed for the Technical Training Core.
