Studies of design and function of emissions control device, laws and regulations concerning vehicle emissions, combustion chemistry, and volumetric efficiency. Emphasizes proper diagnostic procedures with engine systems, including interfacing with onboard computers, automotive computer networking, and exhaust gas analysis (ASE A8)
