MATH 101E - Quantitative Reasoning Enhanced 4 Credit Hours
This course is designed to expose the student to a wide range of mathematics topics. Problem solving and critical thinking skills, along with the use of technology, will be emphasized and reinforced throughout the course as the student becomes actively involved in solving application problems. Topics to be covered include Logical Reasoning, Set Theory, Descriptive Statistics, Probability, Linear and Exponential Functions, Personal Finance, Geometry, Number Sense (Estimation, Scientific Notation, Fractions, and Percentages), and Financial Management. Additional topics will be addressed during the two support hours.
Pre-requisite(s): Next-Generation ACCUPLACER - Quantitative Reasoning, Algebra and Statistics (QAS) < 249 or SAT Math (taken before March 2016) < 459 or SAT Math (Taken March 2016 or later) < 509 or ACT Math < 18 or ACCUPLACER - Arithmetic test < 84), or ACCUPLACER - Elementary Algebra < 75 or ACCUPLACER - College-level Math < 39.
