BARB 201 - Clinical I/Science and Professional Barbering I


4 Credit Hours

This course serves as a continuation of previous theoretical and practical knowledge introduced in The Science of Barbering I, II, and Professional Barbering I, transitioning into an advanced laboratory-focused setting. This course provides a hands-on, all lab experience where students apply theoretical knowledge gained from “Professional Barbering I” into practical settings. This course focuses on men’s haircutting and styling techniques, shaving methods, facial hair design, and men’s hair replacement systems. Students engage in a controlled laboratory environment to hone their skills in client consultation, haircutting principles, shaving fundamentals, hair replacement consultations, salesmanship, cleaning, and styling of hair replacement systems while adhering to stringent safety and infection control protocols.
