COMM 212 - Interpersonal Communication


3 Credit Hours

Interpersonal communication is a practical study of the way people interact in personal and professional dynamics and group settings. Emphasis is on relational communication and includes perception, intercultural encounters, listening, self-disclosure, social apprehension, ethics, nonverbal communication, conflict, power, and dysfunctional communication. On completion, students should be able to demonstrate interpersonal communication skills, apply basic principles of group discussion, and manage conflict in relational situations.
